"Organization comes to me naturally as I've worked in outside sales for many years. I worked at a Window Treatment company for 10 years before joining my wife Kathy as Co-Owner of Southern Heritage Home. I've been involved assisting and advising Kathy in her design business for over 25 years - from showroom design and construction to installations for her clients as well as attending High Point Furniture Market. I’m detailed almost to a fault in my work. Any project I take on, I research and implement it exactly as the customer or the organization requests it. I will double and triple check things to ensure accuracy. I am always listening to my team and am open to improving the way we work. We should always strive to question how we do something and ask ourselves if it is the most effective way to do the task. This helps us all find new ways to save time and money. If there’s a problem, I enjoy working with our folks to find the solution.In my spare time I like taking Kathy and Ollie out on the paddle board for a ride on the lake. I also enjoy bike riding and, when I get the chance, a nice game of golf."
Nikki Milholland

Nikki Milholland joined Southern Heritage Home in August 2024, bringing over 15 years of experience in retail sales and business ownership, including running a car dealership and tire shop. Her strong communication skills, customer‑focused approach, and natural talent for design make her a standout in both sales and creating beautiful, functional spaces.Nikki loves helping customers bring their dream rooms to life—and she enjoys working with a team she truly values.
Outside of work, Nikki is a devoted mother of three who enjoys spending time with her kids and relaxing with wine days alongside her girlfriends.
Patsy Norton

Patsy Norton has been part of Southern Heritage Home since February 2018, bringing her passion for helping customers create warm, welcoming spaces that truly feel like home. She loves guiding clients to the perfect furniture pieces and is committed to providing exceptional customer service—from the first conversation to the moment each item is placed in its special spot.
Before joining Southern Heritage Home, Patsy worked as a second‑grade teacher’s aide and later enjoyed years of golfing daily. Outside of work, she loves connecting with neighbors, designing her flower garden, golfing, and spending time with friends. She even enjoys “shopping” furniture in her free time so she can better help current and future customers find exactly what they’re looking for.
Joyce Wagner

Joyce Wagner has been a Sales and Design Consultant with Southern Heritage Home since December 2017. With more than 25 years of retail experience—including 10 years in home décor and furniture sales as Assistant Manager at Pier 1 Imports. She brings strong business knowledge, design insight, and a customer‑focused approach to every interaction. Joyce enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, but her favorite part of the job is getting to know customers and helping them create spaces they love.
Outside of work, Joyce delights in spending time with her grandchildren and relaxing with friends and family. She also enjoys cooking and exploring gourmet cuisine.
Donna Mcdonald

Donna became part of the Southern Heritage Home team in November 2023. With a strong background in customer service and territory management, she brings both professionalism and creativity to every project. Donna loves helping customers design spaces that reflect their style and become places they truly enjoy.
When she’s not assisting clients, Donna is spending time with her family, sewing, gardening, or working on home projects. As a mother of two and grandmother of six, she finds joy and inspiration in the activities and people she loves most.
Sophie Heyl

Sophie Heyl joined Southern Heritage in January 2026 after graduating from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. She gained hands-on experience through a design internship during college and is excited to continue growing her skills in both design and furniture sales. Sophie loves expanding her industry knowledge, working directly with furniture, and collaborating with a team she truly enjoys. Helping customers find pieces that make their homes feel special is one of the most rewarding parts of her role.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, going to the movies, and trying—unsuccessfully so far—to beat her brother at chess.
Ben Nagele

Ben Nagele has called Hickory home for the past eleven years and joined the Southern Heritage Home team in July 2025. He began his journey as part of our warehouse team, where he gained hands-on experience and developed a strong appreciation for the quality and craftsmanship behind the manufacturers we carry. For the past five months, Ben has been part of our sales and design team, and really enjoys working one-on-one with customers to help them find furniture that fits their home, style, and needs. His favorite place to work is our Hooker Outlet. I love the layout and atmosphere of the store, as well as the variety of brands and pieces we carry there.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, horseback riding, and sports.
Brooks Jenkins

Brooks Jenkins has been with Southern Heritage Home since June of 2026. With over 30 years of experience in the furniture and interior design industry in Charlotte, NC, he's excited to bring his design perspective to Southern Heritage Home. He spent 10 years managing Interiors Marketplace at Atherton Mill during the rise of the South End District and later worked with Circa Antiques and Interiors, Abode Home, Dartis Art and Design, and Viridien. He is the happiest working with fabrics, wall coverings, and color theory, and believes that great design comes from communication and collaboration—not dictation. His goal is to help you make the right decisions for your space.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find him at an art museum or an amusement park. He is an avid art collector and a devoted rollercoaster fan—the bigger and faster, the better.

Angie Crump

Angie has been part of the Southern Heritage Home team since January 2012, bringing more than two decades of experience in the furniture industry. She began her career in 2001 and has continued to grow her expertise in administrative operations and inventory management.In her role as Office Manager, Angie oversees the processing of sales invoices, purchase orders, receiving, and inventory control for all four Southern Heritage Home locations. She enjoys the fast-paced, multitasking nature of her work and is always ready to take on new challenges. Angie also helps design and display the Hooker Outlet—one of her favorite responsibilities—because it allows her to step out of the office and tap into her creative side.
Outside of work, Angie loves crafting, decorating, and spending time with her family. As a proud Mimi, her grandchildren are her greatest joy and inspiration.
Liz Lail
Office System Specialist / Customer Service Manager ~ 828-855-9310 Ext. 245
Liz Lail has been with Southern Heritage Home since January 2017. She oversees stock damage control, works closely with vendors, manages IT needs, and reviews manufacturer order acknowledgements to ensure accuracy in ordering and shipping. Liz also assists the Office Manager with inventory control across all showrooms and the warehouse, supports product placement in the Hooker Showroom, and maintains product listings on the company’s websites. She is known for her thoroughness, reliability, and ability to handle escalated customer service issues with care.
Outside of work, Liz lives on a farm where she raises bottle calves. She enjoys traveling, crafting, spending time with her family, and loves fishing and hunting.
Bill Richard
Warehouse Manager
Bill Richard has been part of Southern Heritage Home’s warehouse team since March 2016, bringing more than 20 years of prior experience in warehousing, purchasing, customer service, and shipping and receiving. Known for his strength, efficiency, and practical approach, Bill keeps the warehouse meticulously organized and is always thinking of ways to improve processes.
In his free time, Bill enjoys woodworking and has created chests, benches, wall hangings, and more. He previously worked in furniture repair and refinishing and continues to enjoy hands‑on projects. Bill loves spending time with his family and is currently restoring a Ford Mustang—his latest passion project.
